Dr. Janine Holstein is the owner and founder of Maui Majesty, LLC She has a PhD in Clinical Psychology, a Masters degree in Sociology, and a Master of Social Work degree. She is a professor of the social sciences at several universities. She has worked in many areas of psychology and social work including as therapist, clinical supervisor, clinical director, policy director, and in executive management for non-profit behavioral health agencies for most of her adult life. 

Her farming background includes 2 certificates as Master Gardener, one in Los Angeles, CA, through UCLA, and one on Maui, HI through UH CTAHR. She completed the GoFarm Hawaii program on Kauai through UH in 2016, and the GoFarm Orchard program on Maui in 2025. She completed the Farm Apprentice Mentorship Program in 2020 and has served on the Board of Directors for the Green Building Institute in MD, and now for MFSN. She runs teen internship programs on reforestation, regeneration, and sustainability at Maui Majesty including through AgStemWorks. Her fully self-sustaining reforestation project at Maui Majesty is partially backed by the USDA Farm Service Agency.
