Fox Family Farms, operated by Andy Fox, is a historic farm located in the heart of Haliʻi, Maui. A retired professional, Andy now devotes himself to the farm, tending to orchard trees that are over 150 years old—lychee, avocado, kukui—and integrating regenerative practices like worm bins, compost tumblers, and wood chip mulching. Step by step, he’s making the orchard more accessible, all while preserving its legacy. In addition to farming, Andy is active in the community, volunteering at the Kanaha National Wildlife Refuge and with Friends of Haleakalā National Park. And now, he’s crafting something special: an avocado mousse recipe, which he hopes to share with the island soon. Fox Family Farms is more than an orchard—it’s a legacy of care, community, and the promise of new flavors to come.
