Bee Present Maui was founded in 2020 by bee maiden Abigail Llewelyn, with a clear mission: to promote the health, happiness, and vitality of bees across Maui. Abigail’s approach blends hands-on beekeeping expertise with deep respect for pollinator well-being, emphasizing sustainable practices that support both local ecosystems and the farmers and gardeners who depend on healthy pollination. Abigail is also a loving wife and mother of two farm kids, bringing her nurturing spirit to both her family and her bees. In her day job, she works as an ASL interpreter, supporting students and adults across Maui, demonstrating her commitment to communication, accessibility, and community. Through Bee Present Maui, Abigail fosters connection—between people, pollinators, and the land—and inspires others to care for these essential creatures while promoting local food resilience and sustainability.
