We are a farmer support program, guiding Maui County farmers to become integral members of our local food supply chain and community fabric. 

 

We envision a Maui which is food secure through a strongly woven network of family farm agricultural producers.

We engage in integrative education, inclusive hands-on farm learning days, and connection to others in our community.

Coaching

Navigational Coaching will provide you the focused time, support and guidance you need to move forward with your Maui farming goals. We have the connections in the industry, the know-how, and we’re here to help you make it happen!​ This program is ongoing, apply anytime, begin anytime.

Tool Library

Farming, especially on an island like Maui, requires a wide array of tools and equipment which can be both costly and space-consuming for individual farmers. Our Tool Library addresses this challenge by providing a collection of farming tools and equipment available for usage and borrowing. 

Events

Farming on Maui requires ongoing learning, yet attending trainings isn’t always easy. Our educational sessions address this challenge by offering regular learning opportunities on a wide range of topics relevant to local farmers, supporting practical skill-building, shared knowledge, and community connection.

Farm Network

Our Farmer Support Network encompasses all levels of participants no matter where you’re starting or how far you want to go, from utter beginners to those seeking high levels of mastery in specialized niches. We’re focused on helping small and beginning farmers overcome obstacles and achieve their agriculture production goals.

Turning Waste into Agricultural Wealth

Turning Waste into Agricultural Wealth transforms everyday waste into valuable resources for regenerative farms and home gardens. Through wood chipping, cardboard redistribution, and backyard composting workshops, we turn tree trimmings, business cardboard, and food scraps into mulch, compost, and healthy soil. By connecting farmers and families with hands-on tools and knowledge, this program strengthens soil, builds local food resilience, and cultivates community

Turn Branches into Mulch. Build Healthier Soil.

Schedule the MFSN wood chipper and crew to turn tree trimmings and brush into mulch for your land.

CARDBOARD UPCYCLE

Cardboard Recovery and Waste into Soil Health.

Request cardboard from MFSN for sheet mulching and no-till farming for your farm or garden.

Wood Chip Texture

At times we have excess wood chips available from our chipping work. You can add your name to our list, and if we’re working in your area and have extra chips, we’ll reach out to arrange a drop-off. If you’d like to schedule the wood chipper for your property, you can also schedule time with MFSN.
